It has been almost a month - oops! Here is a little update as to what is going on in my life in Japan.

I am now officially an Alien. One that lives in Japan and will be for the next year - 3 years. I got my card back at the beginning of October so now I can do everything that in the US I would have been able to do any day I wanted. I now have a bank account and will soon have a cell phone. (Hopefully!) It is scary trying to figure out what plan you want when people keep telling you to think about what you will need it for in the future. Like I know! I don't even know why I need it now. Though today I was asked if it was an inconvenience not to have one. Not really. There isn't anyone I really need to call. Plus once I get a phone I will have the entire email/texting thing that I guess they are so crazy about. I guess I can't put it off forever.

Today I went to a meeting about another side job teaching younger kids English. I will just be working for 2 hours on Fridays, from 5 - 7. I think it will be a fun little job. Teaching 2 separate classes - 3 students, 2 in one class and 1 in the other.

Classes are going really well. I gave my first quiz to all of my students this week. Most of them passed, there were a couple that didn't do so well, but still not too bad. I have 6 classes. My one on Thursday evenings was canceled (finally.) It only took 3 weeks of no students showing up. My office is actually starting to feel like my office too. All the extra shelves and things are finally out and I have my new desk.
